Exciting Changes Ahead
Well, the news is out: thanks to a neighboring business that moved, we are in the process of adding a fourth studio to our current location!
The building where we have shared studio space with Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts for the past three years has been a great blessing. With three studios, offices, a costume room, and just enough dressing room space to get by, we have been able to:
- Grow into having nine professional dancers on staff with the professional company and as instructors at the School of the Arts, serving over 120 students in the School each year,
- Create eleven diverse ballets for the professional company and three full length story ballets for the School,
- Produce those ballets with all handmade costumes and sets, and,
- Serve over 3,500 audience members each year through honest, relevant, breathtaking dance performances that combine excellence in our artistic craft with meaningful ideas and stories that come from the basis of our faith.
However, with the addition of a new program at Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts, the Youth Dance Division, growing numbers of advanced dancers in our Pre-Professional Program, and growing productions for the professional company like Belteshazzar, we simply couldn't fit it all in anymore. We are very, very excited that some movement among the other businesses in our shared building has freed up the neighboring unit to allow us to grow into this fourth studio! Thanks to the added space, we will be able to continue to reach more people with our ministry through programs like the Youth Division, our Summer Intensive and Trainee Program, and through a growing level of professionalism in our company as we continue to commission, create and produce new dance performances.
Will you join us?
While we are thrilled to be able to continue to grow our ministry, we are still a donor-funded nonprofit organization. If the idea of us being able to expand the reach of our ministry through this added studio space excites you, will you support us with a financial contribution? Supplies for the new space, like the flooring, mirrors, and barres are a financial investment for us - one that will last us for years to come, but an investment nonetheless. Your contribution will be a huge blessing in the coming weeks and months as we look forward to the ministry to be had through Ballet 5:8 for years to come. Thanks in advance for your support!
