Q. What are some of your favorite snacks for rehearsal or show days?

A. Through the years I've tried to give myself variety, but as dancers routine helps us feel more prepared with such a busy schedule. It requires less brain space. However, if I don't switch my diet every once in awhile my body starts feeling under nourished. So, depending on the season I've done whole milk greek yogurt (no sugar added), a good source of protein and fat, with a good trail mix for lunch. Or an apple and a protein bar.

Q. How do you balance a busy schedule and adequately fueling your body?

A. I just have to keep eating! The healthier the foods the more energized I feel. All of my students know me to be eating something almost every class.

Q. What is one food or beverage you couldn't live without?

A. Iced Green Tea! It's not a necessity, but it gives me a pep in my step and gives a more sustained amount of energy over a longer period of time.

Q. What is one of your favorite recipes?

A. I don't have much time to cook throughout the season, but one of my go to meals when it is busy is a chicken salad sandwich on a good bread (flour that isn't enriched--check your labels!) and chips, salsa, w/avocado. And a couple of pieces of dark chocolate for dessert.
