Q. What are some of your favorite snacks for rehearsal or show days?

A. On rehearsal and show days, I stick to the basics: oatmeal, nuts, apples, pretzels, and carrots with hummus. I love my baby carrots and peanuts.

Q. How do you balance a busy schedule and adequately fueling your body?

A. The key to balancing a busy schedule with proper nutrition is to make sure I eat hearty snacks. Especially when I’m dancing, I never want to feel weighed down and overly full, so I make sure I eat snacks that sustain my energy while not bogging me down. Also, making sure I’m eating a dinner that’s nutrient-rich and wholesome each night is an absolute must when re-fueling for the next rehearsal day. It’s also always a good idea to take supplements your body needs. For me, that’s a supplement containing B12 and turmeric/ ginger for inflammation.

Q. What is one food or beverage you couldn't live without?

A. I definitely could live (but not thrive) if I didn’t have coffee in my life! I could go for a cup of coffee at any point in the day.

Q. What is one of your favorite recipes?

A. Some of my favorite recipes have been discovered and made while at Ballet 5:8. Olivia makes a mean vegan Apple Cobbler and Beth makes the best guacamole I’ve ever tasted.
