Libby Dennen: 2017/18 Season Reflections

Our Sixth Season has come to a close, and it's time to look back on the year and see what stood out to the dancers. Congrats to Libby on her promotion to Senior Apprentice for the 2018/19 Season!

Q. Pick one word to describe this season overall. Why?

A. Unified. Throughout this season, the teamwork and unity has been so evident throughout the entire company. I've seen the Lord strengthen our community so much and I can't wait to see how He will further that growth next season.

Q. What was your favorite moment onstage?

A. I can't pick a favorite but there's a moment towards the end of All God's Children, when Olivia Lane and I are dancing together, and we wink at each other. It's so small and simple and I doubt any audience member has ever noticed it, but it's so pure and joyful. I love it every time.

Q. Looking back, would you say that you learned something new about yourself or found yourself stretched out of your comfort zone?

A. I learned how present God is in even the smallest and strangest of moments. And how even on your worst days, He continues to work through you. There's something so powerful, yet also humbling about that.

Q. Is there a particular quote or idea that has been inspirational to you this season?

A. Romans 8:37 which says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us." I would repeat that to myself constantly throughout entire shows as a reminder of God's power and love.

Q. What are you up to this summer?

A. Cross training and working.
