03.22.14 - Spring Arbor University

On Saturday, March 22, Ballet 5:8 is excited to present a full evening program made possible by Spring Arbor University. The single performance at White Auditorium will take place at 7:00pm and is part of the SPRING SERIES with performances in Fort Wayne, IN, Chicago, IL and Spring Arbor, MI.

The evening's second act will include Ballet 5:8's full length neoclassical ballet, The Story of Job, a ballet created by Artistic Director Julianna Slager in and for the present day. Job uses a modern-day retelling of the Biblical story to explore the question of suffering.

The evening's first act will include a collection of short pieces by Ballet 5:8 and a guest appearance by Jackson Dance Company, a student company out of The Academy of the Arts in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Ballet 5:8 will present Proverbs, a pretty ballet inspired by the nuggets of truth found in Scripture, and Indwelling, which explores the tension between the "Old Man" and the "New Man" in the life of the believer.

Tickets are $18 and are available online here or by calling 1-800-838-3006. Seating is general admission at White Auditorium, but advance purchase of tickets is recommended.
