Featuring kings and kingdoms, royal egos, unfathomable dangers and mysterious dreams, the ballet takes audiences to the ancient Middle East for a wild ride alongside the young Daniel and his unwavering integrity. Ballet 5:8 is excited to have the students of DanceWest Ballet Company perform excerpts from Raymonda prior to Ballet 5:8's presentation of BelteshazzarDanceWest Ballet Company was founded in 1990 by professional dancers Ricardo Moyano, and Regina Helmer Moyano. DanceWest serves Naperville and surrounding areas with high-quality dance training in a professional atmosphere and a wide variety of performing opportunities for members of its company.


Belteshazzar Royal Reception 
All ticket holders - and especially younger guests - are invited to stay after the performance for a Royal Reception with characters from the ballet. At this grand event suitable for all ages, guests will be able to meet Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar and King Darius, dressed in full costume from the ballet! Guests will be able to pose for photos with the dancers and ask any of their questions about Belteshazzar. Any and all questions are welcome.

Ticket Information 

Pricing: Advance tickets are $22 for adults, or $18 for children 12 and under through Friday, May 8th. At the door, tickets are $24 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. 

Student Special: Students ages 13-18 who are currently studying dance are invited to take advantage of our special $18 student ticket! These tickets are only available as pre-sale tickets through Friday, May 8th. To receive the student ticket discount code, simply fill out the student discount form and your student ticket discount code will be emailed to you!

If advance ticket sales have closed, you are always welcome to purchase tickets prior to the performance from the box office, which opens onsite at the performance venue 90 minutes prior to the show. In the event of a sold out performance, the website listing for the performance will be updated accordingly.

Performance Information

Children: Belteshazzar is great for children! Because the ballet's story is based on what is a familiar Bible story for many, children of all ages have greatly enjoyed this production during past performances and have been on the edge of their seat through the entire ballet.* 

*Caution: The ballet does include a few elements that could be scary for younger children, such as the realistic sound of lions roaring when Daniel is in the lion's den. Please use caution when bringing younger children or those who may tend to be easily frightened. Generally, children should be at least four years old to attend. 

Performance Length: Approximately two hours including intermission.
