Summer Intensive

Ballet 5:8's five-week summer intensive is an opportunity for dancers to make technical gains, increase artistry, explore choreography, and deepen their faith - all in a uniquely nurturing environment where students thrive.


Trainee Program

Ballet 5:8's Trainee Program is a dynamic two-year experience that challenges aspiring professional dancers to put the finishing touches on their training while dancing alongside the Ballet 5:8 professional company. As Trainees, dancers take advantage of an intensive schedule of classes and performances opportunities within the Trainee Program, with Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts, and alongside the Ballet 5:8 Professional Company, both in Chicago and on tour.


Pre-Professional, Conservatory & Men's Programs

In the Pre-Professional, Conservatory & Men's Programs, dancers attend classes up to 25 hours per week, working toward mastery of the intermediate and advanced levels of our Vaganova-based training syllabus. The program is attended by over 40 students from a range of Chicagoland communities and nearby states. In addition to earning membership with Regional Dance America MidStates, students have regularly received admission and scholarships at prestigious Summer Intensive programs including at The Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, Orlando Ballet, The Kirov School, the Joffrey Academy of Dance, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, and others.


Children's and Youth Classes

Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts is a multifaceted dance education center that serves the greater Chicago area through campuses in Frankfort, IL, Chicago (Beverly), and Valparaiso, IN. The school's goal is make high-quality dance training accessible to students of all ages and levels of ability in a uniquely nurturing environment where students thrive. Available classes for ages 2 and up range from classical ballet to modern, hip hop, Musical Theater and more.


Adult Classes

With a casual dress code and moderate pace, adult classes are great for those who danced years ago or who are starting for the first time. Dancing can be a fun, enjoyable form of exercise and is a great way to burn a few extra calories and develop muscle tone. Available classes include Beginning Ballet, Intermediate Ballet, Tap, and Yoga.
