Pick one word to describe the overall season. Why?

Let go... meaning I needed to hand everything over to the Lord. For so long, I have held many things tightly and wanted things to go a particular way. This year has been a crazy time in the world, and God has shown me that He is truly the One who is over everything. I can hand over all my plans and worries to him, and he will give me the joy I am longing for.

Can you share a favorite moment from on or offstage?

The unison and community I felt in Agape from “Golden Sessions” was one of my favorite moments. In this section of the ballet, nearly the entire company is on stage together.

Out of all the works you performed this season, does one stand out as the most meaningful or most notable for you personally? Why?

“Still Waters” was very meaningful to me this season. How I viewed myself and my dancing was a large part of my struggle at the beginning of the season. Dancing the scripture, Psalms 23, the ballet became a prayer and helped settle my anxieties when performing.

Is there a particular quote or idea that has been inspirational to you this season?

Matthew 6:25-34 is a passage that I keep coming back to this season. It is comforting to know that the Lord is good and has my life in His control. I can rest in the fact that He is always for me and with me! Even when I make plans and they don’t go according to what I wanted, God’s plan over every aspect of my life is much better than I could have ever imagined for myself.

What are you up to this summer?

I will be moving back to Georgia and getting to spend some quality time with my family!
