Pas de Deux Intensive
Partnering is a vital skill for any professional dancer, but many schools cannot train their students in classical pas de deux and their dancers are overlooked for professional positions. This prestigious week allows advanced students and professional dancers to immerse themselves in the study of classical and contemporary pas de deux.
Tuition: Pas de Deux Intensive $750. Housing fees are separate.
In this program, you will
- Fine-tune your partnering knowledge
- Work on complicated techniques and lifts
- Gain confidence for class, rehearsal, and the stage
- Receive strength-training classes for both men and women
- Study iconic classical and contemporary pas de deux, including variations and coda
- Perform in a showcase for parents and peers at the end of the week

- Schedule: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm daily
- Level: Advanced students & professionals
- Capacity: 22 dancers total; male-to-female ratio is limited to ensure in-depth partnering for all

Curriculum Highlights
Dancers will learn a pas de deux from the great classical ballet repertoire, along with an original contemporary pas de deux choreographed exclusively for this program. Coaching emphasizes musicality, connection, and safe partnering mechanics.
- Classical repertoire coaching (with variations & coda)
- Contemporary pas de deux—original work set on participants
- Partnering mechanics: promenades, supported pirouettes, lifts, pressage (as appropriate)
- Injury-prevention & strength sessions tailored for partners
- Performance preparation & stagecraft
End-of-Week Showcase
Parents and peers are invited to a studio showing on the final day featuring classical repertoire and the newly created contemporary pas de deux. Cameras ready—this is prime audition-reel material.
