Q: Describe your experience during the creation and rehearsal process of Golden Sessions. What have been the most challenging and rewarding parts of learning this ballet?

A: Working on Golden Sessions has been such a beautiful and challenging experience. Although the choreography in every movement is physically demanding, the combination of music and movement patterns create an overwhelming sense of ease and grace. Observing the growth and complexity of this piece, from the first few rehearsals to now, has been so rewarding.

Q: What is your favorite movement of Golden Sessions to dance and why? How would you describe the choreographic style of this movement?

A: Golden Sessions has four movements, my favorite one to dance is probably Agape. As the last piece, it uses every dancer in the ballet and there is beauty and power to the unity of movement. The choreography swirls and bends along with the music. Each movement has its own unique style and Agape ties them all together beautifully.

Q: Why should audience members see Golden Sessions?

A: The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis possesses so much introspection and depth, and the artists of Ballet 5:8 encompass the themes of Storge, Philia, Eros, and Agape stunningly.
