Jeremy Slager
Executive Director
Jeremy Slager brings strategic clarity, financial discipline, and a deeply mission-driven vision to his role as Executive Director of Ballet 5:8. Since assuming leadership, he has strengthened the organization’s financial foundation—increasing grant funding by 80% and reducing overhead costs by 20%—while expanding Ballet 5:8’s national profile through smart infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and intentional audience development.
Under Jeremy’s direction, Ballet 5:8 has sharpened its operational efficiency and established transparent systems that support long-term sustainability. His leadership has resulted in streamlined workflows, more effective fundraising pipelines, and a data-informed approach to both patron engagement and donor stewardship. A skilled communicator and strategist, he has overseen significant growth in media coverage, brand visibility, and community reach—helping position Ballet 5:8 as a national voice for innovative, faith-driven dance.
Originally from Spring Arbor, Michigan, Jeremy holds a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Before stepping into nonprofit arts administration, he served for six years as Associate Pastor at St. Paul’s Bible Church in Beverly, Chicago, and later as Digital Marketing Manager at Moody Publishers. These dual experiences in ministry and media uniquely prepared him to lead Ballet 5:8 with both relational depth and technical fluency.
Jeremy’s connection to the organization runs deep—having been part of its journey since the beginning. From building sprung floors and constructing set pieces to developing early marketing strategies and managing Front of House operations, his hands-on investment in the mission was recognized in 2022 when he received the Nehemiah Award for outstanding volunteer service.
As Executive Director, Jeremy is committed to expanding access to high-quality arts experiences, nurturing the next generation of artists, and ensuring that Ballet 5:8 continues to grow as a nationally respected company rooted in beauty, justice, and faith. His leadership is animated by the belief that dance has the power to transform individuals and communities—physically, emotionally, vocationally, and spiritually.
