Our Orland Park campus offers a complete path from a toddler's first movement class through advanced training, plus welcoming options for adults.

Preparatory Ballet

A joyful, age-appropriate introduction to movement and ballet for young children, including Toddler & Me, Preparatory levels, Boys Dance, and Levels 1A and 1B.

Pre-Professional Ballet

Placement-based classical training for dancers ready for a deeper commitment. Students develop technique, artistry, discipline, wellness, and stage experience.

Adult Ballet

A friendly, professional environment for adults and older teens who are beginning, returning, or continuing their ballet training, with flexible and drop-in options.

Artistry, leadership, and academic achievement.

Ballet 5:8 participates in the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, a program of the National Dance Education Organization. NHSDA helps bring meaningful recognition to students whose commitment to dance is matched by leadership and academic achievement.

For families, it is one more way a dancer's years of discipline, service, creativity, and growth can be seen and celebrated. NHSDA includes Junior and Secondary programs for students in grades 6–8 and 9–12.

Gather the family for a magical Christmas ballet in Orland Park. Beyond the Nutcracker brings professional artists, young dancers, live music, and a story of hope, courage, kindness, and light to the Sandburg stage.

No. Ballet 5:8 offers beginner-friendly starting points. Age, readiness, prior experience, and goals help our team recommend the right class.

What if I do not know the program or level?

Use our class finder. The School team can recommend the best campus, program, level, and schedule for your dancer.

Is Ballet 5:8 only for serious dancers?

No. Young children can begin with joyful foundational classes, adults can dance recreationally, and students who want intensive study can pursue the Pre-Professional path.

Do students have performance opportunities?

Yes. Students grow through age- and level-appropriate performance experiences, including opportunities connected to Ballet 5:8 productions and school performances.

Can boys take ballet?

Yes. Orland Park offers co-ed classes and dedicated Boys Dance options. Scholarship opportunities are available for eligible boys' classes.

When does the 2026/27 school year begin?
