Where is your hometown? What is it like?

I'm from a small town in central Pennsylvania. There's a drive-In theater, Saturday morning farmers markets, drive your tractor to school days, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail.

Is there one person that helped you get where you are today? If so, tell us a little about them and your journey.

Excellent question, but... it took a village to get me to where I am today! Being able to work in this field is a gift. It would take me hours to list all of the supportive family members, encouraging friends, and extremely patient instructors who challenged and guided me to explore my God-given love for dancing.

What is one favorite or funny memory from your years of dance training?

One of my many cherished memories from my training years is from the year 2013. The production was The Carnival of the Animals and I was given the role of a monkey. Attempting to hold back our laughter, my friends and I felt absolutely ridiculous, bounding clumsily around the stage pretending to be monkeys.

What is your favorite thing about summer in Chicago? Do you have a favorite place to visit/local restaurant/activity?

Since this is my first summer in Chicago, I have yet to choose a favorite activity. The beach in downtown Chicago is a refreshing escape and the parks are thriving with nature, music, and art! There is always something to do.

Last thing—what in the upcoming 2021/22 season are you most excited for?

Touring! I'm looking forward to traveling with the company and building lasting relationships with communities in other parts of the country.
