Where is your hometown? What is it like?

I'm from Homer Glen, IL, a suburb just southwest of Chicago.

Is there one person that helped you get where you are today? If so, tell us a little about them and your journey.

While I've had a lot of support from many people growing up, the real MVP is my mom. She has encouraged me and supported me at every turn. Whether she was making sure I got to class on time, buying me pointe shoes, or coming to every single show on a weekend, she has always been my biggest fan!

What is one favorite or funny memory from your years of dance training?

This is an impossible question—I have so many! Some of my favorite memories are from Ballet 5:8's Thursday night drives to tour destinations for the weekend. It's usually the same group of people in the car on these trips, and we have the strangest and funniest conversations. We might sound crazy, but there is so much joy and laughter on those trips.

What is your favorite thing about summer in Chicago? Do you have a favorite place to visit/local restaurant/activity?

There's honestly nothing specific—I just enjoy having the time to do more things and have fun adventures with people I typically only see inside the studio.

Last thing—what in the upcoming 2021/22 season are you most excited for?

I'm so excited for all of the ballets we're bringing back! I'm so excited to perform these classic Ballet 5:8 works again, especially since the company has grown and improved as much as it has over the past ten years. This season will be a huge challenge for everyone, but I think it'll be the best one yet!
