Company Auditions
Bring your technique, artistic voice, and passion for storytelling to Ballet Five Eight.
Based in Chicago’s Southland, Ballet Five Eight creates original works that spark discussion on life, faith, and human dignity. Our artists perform classical and contemporary repertoire in Chicagoland and on tour.
We are seeking classically trained dancers with technical excellence, maturity, versatility, and a thoughtful approach to their craft.
40-week, full-time Company contracts available
for the 2027–28 season.
Last day to audition: April 15, 2027.

Apply by video or attend a Company audition opportunity on our national tour.
Video screening
Complete the professional application in DanceApply and submit the requested video and supporting materials.
Your video is an initial screening. Dancers who interest our artistic team will be invited to Company class for further consideration.
In-person screening
Attend a tour stop offering Company auditions. Review the programs listed for each location before registering.
Selected dancers will be invited to Company class for further consideration.
January 30 attendance is not required. Auditions continue through April 15, 2027. Submit early to allow time for review and scheduling.

If invited, you will receive instructions for attending Company class. Complete your audition by April 15, 2027.
$5 DanceApply software fee
This fee goes directly to DanceApply.
Ballet Five Eight does not retain it.

Company Artists receive a weekly salary and work in Ballet Five Eight’s 12,000-square-foot facility in Orland Park, Illinois. Daily technique class, rehearsals, and performances support a season of artistic growth and collaboration.

Considering Second Company?
Ballet Five Eight’s Second Company supports early career artists through training, mentorship, and performance experience. It uses the same professional application as Company auditions.
Second Company is separate from the School’s Trainee Program. Explore the program to decide which pathway matches your experience and goals.
