To further our missional value of accessibility, Ballet 5:8 regularly works to keep our tuition fees as low as possible. This ensures that our programs remain relatively affordable to a wide range of students and families from a wide range of economic backgrounds. Because we have already done everything possible to keep our tuition prices low, we are very limited in our ability to offer tuition scholarships to students applying for our intensives.

Students who still require assistance may apply for financial aid between Monday, January 16 and Friday, March 3, 2017.  Financial aid awards range from 30%-50% of tuition and do not cover the cost of housing. Due to our limited ability to offer tuition scholarships, not all students who apply may receive aid. Students will receive notification of the results of their aid applications via email within two to three weeks of submitting a completed application.

Aid applications should be submitted via mail, fax or email and must include the following:

  • Cover letter, typed, one page: introducing yourself/family and providing a summary of the reason(s) why you are applying for financial aid. This letter should include an explanation of the other efforts you have already made to raise the needed funds to attend Ballet 5:8's summer intensive program.
  • Financial Information: from your most recent tax return, including the first and last page of your most recent IRS filing showing total taxable income. For security purposes, please black out your Social Security number on tax return copies submitted, but make sure the name on the return is easily readable.
  • Letter of recommendation: from your pastor, an elder at your church, or family friend.

There is not a formal application form; instead, you must compile your own application including the items listed in above. Completed applications can be emailed to "," faxed to 312-725-4752, or mailed to Ballet 5:8, Attn: Amy Sanderson, 20517 S. LaGrange Road, Frankfort, IL 60423.

All financial aid applications must be received no later than 5:00pm on March 3, 2017.
