Thank you for auditioning for Ballet 5:8’s Summer Intensive.
Based on your audition we are pleased to accept you into our Pas de Deux Intensive 2025!
The Pas de Deux Intensive is a rigorous summer study program where dancers at the advanced level can make grow in their partnering skills. Program faculty include Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager, Artists of the Ballet 5:8 professional company, and world-class guest instructors. Classes take place inside Ballet 5:8's beautiful 12,000 square foot building with five studios in Orland Park, IL, 35 minutes from downtown Chicago.
Technique taught during Intensive is informed by Ballet 5:8’s training philosophy, which stresses proper placement, strength and dynamic musicality. An intensive class and rehearsal schedule runs from 9:15am - 3:30pm daily with 4-5 classes each day gives dancers a true opportunity for growth. In addition to daily ballet technique and pointe classes, dancers attend a variety of supplemental classes focusing on developing strength, relationship with your dancing partner, coordination and more.
Dancers at the Pas de Deux Intensive experience spiritual and emotional refueling for the season ahead. Our Intensive also invites dancers to join Ballet 5:8 in conversations of life and faith through optional community and discussion times.
