Jessica Lang

Jessica Lang is an American choreographer and director based in New York City, currently serving as Resident Choreographer at Pacific Northwest Ballet and Artist in Residence at Sarasota Ballet.

Since 1999, she has created over 100 works for leading companies worldwide, including American Ballet Theatre, The Royal Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and The Joffrey Ballet. Her long-standing collaboration with American Ballet Theatre has produced numerous celebrated works and educational initiatives.

Lang’s work spans ballet, opera, design, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with commissions from major institutions including the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and the Guggenheim Museum. A former Artistic Director of Jessica Lang Dance, her company toured internationally to over 85 cities.

A Juilliard graduate and former member of Twyla Tharp’s company, Lang is a Bessie Award winner and one of today’s most dynamic and versatile choreographic voices.
